Flying Fijians Unveil Star-Studded Squad for PNC Final Against Japan!

Ponipate Loganimasi, a representative for Fiji in sevens rugby and a Silver Medalist, has been included in the final 23-member squad for the Flying Fijians ahead of the Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan.

The team is captained by Tevita Ikanivere, who will play as hooker, supported by Eroni Mawi at loosehead prop and Samuela Tawake at tighthead prop. The lock pairing of Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will bolster the team’s forward strength, while flankers Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa contribute both speed and power.

In the backline, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will handle the halfback and flyhalf roles, respectively. The wings will be occupied by fast players Ilaisa Droasese and Vuate Karawalevu, with Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi solidifying the center partnership. Elia Canakaivata will play at number eight, anchoring the forwards. Isaiah Armstrong Ravula is set to start at fullback, focusing on creating scoring opportunities.

Loganimasi will also share the bench with teammates Mesulame Dolokoto, Hereti Hetet, Meli Tuni, Mesake Vocevoce, Albert Tuisue, Peni Matawalu, and Apisalome Vota.
