Fiji 7s representative and Silver Medalist Ponipate Loganimasi has been included in the final 23-member Flying Fijians squad for the Pacific Nations Cup finale against Japan.
Captain Tevita Ikanivere will lead the team from the hooker position, supported by Eroni Mawi at loosehead prop and Samuela Tawake at tighthead.
The lock pairing of Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua is expected to add considerable strength to the team’s engine room, while flankers Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa will provide both speed and power.
In the backline, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will steer the team from halfback and flyhalf roles, respectively. The wings will be occupied by fast players Ilaisa Droasese and Vuate Karawalevu, with Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi forming a strong center partnership.
Elia Canakaivata will play as the number eight forward.
Isaiah Armstrong Ravula will be positioned at fullback, responsible for generating attacking plays.
Loganimasi will be joined on the bench by Mesulame Dolokoto, Hereti Hetet, Meli Tuni, Mesake Vocevoce, Albert Tuisue, Peni Matawalu, and Apisalome Vota.
