Tevita Ikanivere has been appointed as the captain of the Fijian national rugby team, the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. The head coach, Mick Byrne, announced the extended squad, which includes six newcomers: Kavaia Tagivetaua, Adrea Cocagi, Vuate Karawalevu, Epeli Momo, Mesake Vocevoce, and Apisalome Vota. The squad also sees the return of Iosefo Masi and Selestino Ravutaumada, who both earned silver medals at the Paris Olympics.
