As the Northern Hemisphere tour approaches in November, star player Semi Radradra of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians has expressed concerns that the team may not wear their white jersey again. Radradra, along with senior players Waisea Nayacalevu and Levani Botia, recently addressed issues of alleged mismanagement within the Fiji Rugby Union in a social media podcast. Radradra indicated that their willingness to speak out could mean they have worn the white jersey for the last time.
“We have now put our careers on the line to speak up for our brothers who wear the white jersey,” Radradra stated in Fijian. He added, “We expect ripples after speaking out.” He acknowledged the possibility that this may indeed be their last time in the white jersey, asserting that “some things we have said will be felt at the management level.” Despite the risks, he emphasized that their intentions are geared towards the improvement of Fiji Rugby.
The Flying Fijians are set to compete against Scotland on November 3, Wales on November 11, and Ireland on November 24 during this year’s Northern Tour.
