Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ head coach Mick Byrne has made seven changes to the team for their upcoming Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup match against Tonga this Friday.
Key additions to the squad include Adrea Cocagi and Mesake Vocevoce, who will be starting in this significant match. After their recent 42-16 victory over Samoa two weeks ago in Suva, the Flying Fijians are eager to carry that winning momentum forward.
Newly signed Fijian Drua player Vuate Karawalevu, along with Epeli Momo, will bring energy to the wings, while Isaiah Ravula is set to fill the fullback position. The front row will consist of Eroni Mawi, Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake, with Mesake Vocevoce partnering Temo Mayanavanua in the second row.
The back row lineup includes Meli Derenalagi, Elia Canakaivata, and Albert Tuisue, creating a dynamic forward pack. Frank Lomani will take on the scrum-half duties, pairing with fly-half Caleb Muntz. Iosefo Masi continues to provide experience at outside centre, enhancing the team’s midfield stability.
