Flying Fijians Ready to Soar: Key Changes Ahead of USA Clash

The Flying Fijians have been selected to compete against the USA in the opening semifinal of the Pacific Nations Cup.

Head coach Mick Byrne has implemented four changes to the matchday 23 squad, with three adjustments made in the forwards and one in the backline.

Isa Nasilasila will replace Mesake Vocevoce, who is unavailable due to family obligations. Kitione Sawala steps in at number seven, while Elia Canakaivata moves to number 8, pushing Albert Tuisue to the bench.

In the backline, Inia Tabuavou earns a starting position in place of the suspended Adrea Cocagi.

The front row will consist of Eroni Mawi, Tevita Ikanivere, and Samu Tawake, while Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will partner as locks. The loose forwards trio will feature Meli Derenalagi, Kitione Salawa, and Elia Canakaivata.

Playmakers Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will lead, with Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi forming the midfield partnership. The back three will include Epeli Momo and Vuate Karawalevu on the wings, along with Isaiah Armstrong Ravula as the fullback.

Apisalome Vota will return to the bench, where he is expected to contribute as an impact player in the midfield.

The Flying Fijians are set to take on the USA at 10:05 PM tomorrow.
