Flying Fijians Ready for Thrilling Semi-Final Showdown Against USA!

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are preparing for a thrilling Semi-Final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup this Saturday. The game is set to begin at 10:05 PM Fiji time at the Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Having topped Pool A, the Flying Fijians will go up against the USA, who finished second in Pool B. In the other semi-final, Japan, the Pool B leaders, will take on Samoa the following day, September 15th, at 6:05 PM Fiji time at the same location.

The Flying Fijians returned to Nadi over the weekend following their strong victory over Tonga and resumed training today. Although there are no significant injury concerns, the team will be missing centre Adrea Cocagi for the next four games due to a red card he received in the match against Tonga.

Coach Mick Byrne voiced his optimism about the team’s capabilities, noting after the match in Nuku’alofa, “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling in this squad as they’re a very talented team.”

Additionally, Tonga and Canada are set to compete for fifth place on September 14th at 7:00 PM Fiji time, also at the Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium.
