Flying Fijians Gearing Up for Thrilling Showdown Against Japan!

Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne has announced that the team has no significant injuries as they prepare for the highly anticipated Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan this Saturday. Byrne reassured fans that the squad is in excellent condition as they aim to defend their title.

“We have a few minor issues typical for the third week of training, but everyone has participated in practice and is ready to compete,” Byrne stated.

Making effective tackles will be essential against the home team, which will enjoy the support of the local crowd. Japan is known for its speed and fluid gameplay, and the Fijians are strategizing to physically counter that pace.

“We are mindful of their speed around the corner, and we are preparing for that,” Byrne remarked.

The coach also emphasized the strong points of the Flying Fijians. “We are aware that we handle the ball well and are a physical team. Our scrum and lineout are robust, and we plan to leverage those strengths against their speed.”

The Fiji team set to face Japan includes: Eroni Mawi, Tevita Ikanivere, Samuela Tawake, Isoa Nasilasila, Temo Mayanavanua, Ratu Meli Derenalagi, Kitione Salawa, Elia Canakaivata, Frank Lomani, Caleb Muntz, Ilaisa Droasese, Inia Tabuavou, Iosefo Masi, Vuate Karawalevu, and Isaiah Ravula.

Substitutes are: Mesulame Dolokoto, Haereiti Hetet, Meli Tuni, Mesake Vocevoce, Albert Tuisue, Peni Matawalu, Apisalome Vota, and Ponipate Loganimasi.
