Fiji 7s representative and Silver Medalist Ponipate Loganimasi has been included in the final 23-member Flying Fijians squad for the Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan. The team is captained by Tevita Ikanivere, who plays hooker, with Eroni Mawi and Samuela Tawake positioned as loosehead and tighthead props, respectively.
The lock pairing of Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua is set to bolster the forward pack’s strength, while flankers Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa will contribute both speed and power on the field.
In the backline, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will take charge from halfback and flyhalf positions, respectively. The wing positions are filled by the fast Ilaisa Droasese and Vuate Karawalevu, while Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi will form a strong center partnership.
Elia Canakaivata will play as number eight, providing stability to the forwards. Isaiah Armstrong Ravula is named as the starting fullback, who will be responsible for generating attacking plays.
