The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are set to convene in camp this Saturday as they kick off their preparations for the Pacific Nations Cup. Head Coach Mick Byrne noted that, according to World Rugby regulations, the team can only come together a week prior to the match if they have not started training earlier.
“Players from overseas will arrive on Friday, and our camp officially starts on Saturday,” Byrne stated. He added that they will be handling administration tasks, conducting medical assessments, and holding a strategy meeting later that day. Their first training session is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
The Flying Fijians are slated to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 pm.
