The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are set to convene for training this Saturday as they gear up for the Pacific Nations Cup. Head Coach Mick Byrne noted that, according to World Rugby regulations, the team is only permitted to come together a week prior to their match if they haven’t started training beforehand.
“Players from overseas will arrive on Friday, and our camp officially starts on Saturday,” Byrne stated. He added that they will handle administrative tasks, conduct medical evaluations, and hold a strategy meeting later that day, with their first training session scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
The Flying Fijians will compete against Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 pm.
