The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are set to gather for training this Saturday as they start their preparations for the Pacific Nations Cup. Head Coach Mick Byrne stated that according to World Rugby regulations, the team is only permitted to come together one week prior to their match unless they have started training earlier.
“Players from overseas will arrive on Friday, and our camp officially starts on Saturday,” Byrne explained. “We will manage administrative tasks, conduct medical examinations, and hold a strategy meeting later in the day. Our first training session is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.”
The Flying Fijians are scheduled to compete against Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 pm.
