The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are intensifying their preparations for the semi-final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup. Following their first-place finish in Pool A, the Flying Fijians will face the USA, who came in second in Pool B.

The team has returned to Nadi after a convincing victory over Tonga and has resumed training with a sharp focus on their next opponent. While there are no major injury concerns within the squad, they will be without center Adrea Cocagi, who is serving a four-game suspension due to a red card received during the match against Tonga.

Coach Mick Byrne has expressed confidence in the team’s potential. “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling in this squad as they’re a very talented team,” Byrne stated.

The semi-final is scheduled for 10:05 PM Fiji time this Saturday at Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, Japan, who topped Pool B, will take on Samoa in the other semi-final on Sunday, September 15th, at 6:05 PM Fiji time, also at the same location.
