Flying Fijians Gear Up for Debut Showdown Against Samoa!

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debut for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Samoa in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup in Suva tomorrow. Momo will play on the left wing while Karawalevu will take on the fullback position.

Additionally, halfback Moses Sorovi and center Apisalome Vota are also expected to debut off the bench. Coach Mick Byrne has assembled a strong starting lineup, which includes Haereiti Hetet, Captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will serve as locks, while Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa will fill the flanker positions. Elia Canakaivata will play at Number 8.

Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will be the halfbacks, working together to direct play. Momo will be joined on the wing by Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada, while Iosefo Masi, another Olympic medalist, will occupy the midfield alongside Inia Tabuavou, with Karawalevu wearing the number 15 jersey.

Sorovi and Vota will have Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula as their reserves.

The highly anticipated match is set to kick off at 6 PM.
