The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are intensifying their preparations for the semi-final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup. Having topped Pool A, the Flying Fijians will take on the USA, who were the runners-up in Pool B.

The team has regrouped in Nadi following their convincing victory over Tonga and has resumed training with a focus on the forthcoming match. Although there are no major injuries reported within the squad, they will be without center Adrea Cocagi, who is serving a four-match suspension due to a red card issued during the Tonga encounter.

Coach Mick Byrne expressed his optimism about the team’s potential. “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling in this squad as they’re a very talented team,” Byrne stated.

The match is scheduled for 10:05 PM Fiji time this Saturday at Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. In another semi-final, Japan, the leaders of Pool B, will take on Samoa on Sunday, September 15th, at 6:05 PM Fiji time, also at the same venue.
