Flying Fijians Gear Up for Battle: Can Discipline Turn the Tide Against Wales?

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians are focused on addressing their issues with discipline as they prepare to face Wales in their second Test of the Autumn International series on Monday. Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula stated that the team has been actively working on improving their discipline following the previous match against Scotland, where they received two yellow cards, issued to Frank Lomani and Apisalome Vota.

Armstrong-Ravula emphasized that the team has been putting themselves in various training scenarios to mitigate these penalties. “I don’t think anyone would be going out there to do that, so it’s pretty unlikely, but we’re just training hard,” said Armstrong-Ravula.

The Welsh team is also gearing up to face Fiji as they seek to overcome a winless streak for the year. Armstrong-Ravula expressed enthusiasm about their upcoming match, insisting that the team is treating it as just another game and maintaining a consistent focus in their training.

Historically, Fiji and Wales have a competitive rivalry, having last met in a thrilling Rugby World Cup match last year, where Fiji narrowly lost 26-32. However, Armstrong-Ravula remains optimistic, pointing out the changes within the team, including a new coach, and highlighting their determination to work hard to improve on the previous year’s performance.

The Flying Fijians will be meeting the Welsh team at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, at 1:40 am.

This upcoming match presents an opportunity for Fiji to showcase their growth and resilience, as they look to turn the tide against a strong Welsh side. With a commitment to discipline and teamwork, the Flying Fijians aim to use their training as a springboard for success on the field.
