Fiji Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne is dedicated to forming a strong and unified team in preparation for the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. With several new players joining the roster, Byrne recognizes the challenge of integrating fresh talent with the experience of veteran players.
“It’s not like we have the same players every week or for years; this team is evolving with new members coming in alongside seasoned players. Each new team brings its own set of instructions to follow,” Byrne explained.
He expressed his enthusiasm for the young players stepping up while valuing the consistency that the senior members provide. Additionally, Byrne expressed gratitude to the Fijian fans for their ongoing support and patience as the team develops.
The Flying Fijians are set to take on Manu Samoa this Friday at 6 PM.
