Flying Fijians Face USA: A Thrilling Semi-Final Awaits!

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are preparing for an exhilarating Semi-Final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup this Saturday.

The game is set to kick off at 10:05 PM Fiji time at the Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

The Flying Fijians finished as the leaders of Pool A and will go up against the USA, the runners-up of Pool B. Japan, which topped Pool B, is set to face Samoa in the other semi-final on September 15th at 6:05 PM Fiji Time, also at the same venue.

After their impressive win against Tonga, the Flying Fijians returned to Nadi over the weekend and resumed training today.

Although the camp has reported no significant injuries, the team will be missing center Adrea Cocagi, who has been suspended for the next four matches following a red card received during the game against Tonga.

Coach Mick Byrne has voiced optimism in the team’s abilities, remarking after the match in Nuku’alofa, “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling (referring to growth) in this squad as they’re a very talented team.”

Additionally, Tonga and Canada will compete for fifth place on September 14th at 7:00 PM Fiji Time, also at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium.
