Flying Fijians Face Jersey Dilemma Ahead of Northern Tour

As the Northern Hemisphere tour approaches in November, Semi Radradra, a key player for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, has expressed concerns that they may not wear the white jersey again. Alongside fellow senior players Waisea Nayacalevu and Levani Botia, Radradra recently discussed alleged mismanagement within the Fiji Rugby Union during a social media podcast. He believes that their public stance could signal the end of their time in the iconic white jersey.

“We have now put our careers on the line to speak up for our brothers who wear the white jersey,” Radradra stated in Fijian. He added, “We expect ripples after speaking out.” Reflecting on their situation, he mentioned, “Most possibly we have worn the white jersey for the last time and may never again.”

Radradra emphasized that their comments would have repercussions at the management level but reassured that their actions are aimed at improving the future of Fiji Rugby. The Flying Fijians are set to compete against Scotland on November 3, Wales on November 11, and Ireland on November 24 during this year’s Northern Tour.
