Fiji Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne is concentrating on developing a strong and unified team in anticipation of the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup.
As new players join the squad, Byrne recognizes the challenge of integrating fresh talent with the experience of veteran players.
“It’s not like we have the same players every week or year; this team is evolving with new members alongside seasoned players. With every new team, there’s a set of instructions to follow,” Byrne stated.
He expressed enthusiasm about the younger players taking on responsibilities, while also valuing the consistency provided by the senior players.
Byrne also thanked the Fijian fans for their ongoing support and understanding as the team progresses.
The Flying Fijians are set to compete against Manu Samoa this Friday at 6pm.
