Fiji Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne is concentrating on creating a strong and unified team in preparation for the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. With several new talents joining the squad, Byrne recognizes the challenge of integrating these players alongside experienced veterans.
“It’s not like we have the same players every week or for years. This team is evolving with new members alongside older players. Each new team requires a specific set of instructions to navigate,” the coach explained.
Byrne expressed enthusiasm about the young players stepping up while valuing the consistency that the senior players provide. He also thanked Fijian fans for their ongoing support and understanding as the team develops.
The Flying Fijians are set to compete against Manu Samoa this Friday at 6 PM.
