FIJI Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne is dedicated to fostering a strong and unified team as they gear up for the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup.
With several new players joining the squad, Byrne recognizes the challenge of integrating fresh talent alongside experienced athletes.
“It’s not like we have the same players every week or years; this team has new members coming in and we have got old players. So it’s an evolving team, and with every new team, you’ve got a set of instructions to walk through,” the coach explained.
Byrne expressed his enthusiasm for the emerging young players while valuing the consistency that veteran athletes provide.
He also thanked the Fijian fans for their ongoing support and understanding as the team develops.
The Flying Fijians are set to compete against Manu Samoa this Friday at 6pm.
