Another Flying Fijian has been added to the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua roster for the upcoming season.
Flying Fijian and Racing 92 centre Inia Tabuavou has signed a two-year contract for 2025 and 2026.
The former Natabua High School student debuted for the Flying Fijians this season, playing against Georgia and the All Blacks in San Diego.
He will join the Fijian Drua pre-season after completing the 2024 Flying Fijians Test calendar.
“It feels good to be home, especially with the Drua family. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the new environment, especially the culture of the team and the type of rugby they play,” he stated while speaking to the franchise.
Tabuavou made 21 appearances for Racing 92 and scored three tries.
He debuted for the French Top 14 club in 2020, where his strong performances in midfield, both in attack and defence, earned him a call-up to the Flying Fijians earlier this year.
He is expected to make his debut in the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
