Flying Fijian Inia Tabuavou Joins Fijian Drua Club

Another Flying Fijian has signed with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the upcoming season.

Inia Tabuavou, the Flying Fijian and Racing 92 center, has committed to a two-year contract for 2025 and 2026. The former Natabua High School student debuted for the Flying Fijians this season, playing against Georgia and the All Blacks in San Diego.

Tabuavou will join the Fijian Drua pre-season after completing the 2024 Flying Fijians Test calendar.

“It feels good to be home, especially with the Drua family. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the new environment, especially the team’s culture and the style of rugby they play,” he said in an interview with the franchise.

During his time at Racing 92, Tabuavou made 21 appearances and scored three tries. He debuted for the French Top 14 club in 2020, and his strong performances in both attack and defense earned him a call-up to the Flying Fijians earlier this year.

He is expected to make his debut in the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
