As they prepare for the upcoming Ba FC Local League games starting today, the club has also received new training gear to enhance their readiness.
Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru attended the celebration, commending the club for its impact on football development and community engagement. He emphasized the importance of dedication and discipline for athletes, inspiring players to pursue their dreams of representing the national team and embodying the resilient spirit of the club.
Flying Arrows FC’s impressive history includes notable achievements such as being the sole Fijian club to compete in the Danone Nations Cup in France in 2008. The team has participated in various international tournaments, including competitions in Denmark and Samoa, and recently showcased their talent at the Fiji Football Cecil’s National Regional Club Championship in December 2024.
This year’s football landscape in Ba is vibrant, starting with the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series, featuring top teams such as Extra Supermarket Labasa FC and Extra Supermarket Rewa FC. The excitement is palpable, with fans eager to witness thrilling matchups, and Labasa FC currently leading the Extra sponsored Premier League.
In a remarkable development, the 2025 OFC Women’s Nations Cup will take place in July in Fiji, uniting eight national teams. This event is expected to inspire more young athletes, especially women, to pursue football, thereby fostering growth in the sport.
