NAIDU’S Phone Repair, a new business in Ba Town, experienced significant damage amounting to $1,000 due to recent flooding, impacting their furniture and vital repair tools. Owners Romal Preety and Niteshwar Naidu, who opened the shop in October, reported that essential equipment like a phone drill and heater were among the items damaged.
In an effort to mitigate the damage, Ms. Preety shared that they began relocating items on Tuesday during the heavy rainfall. Despite their best efforts to protect their assets, they returned to the shop at midnight on Thursday to salvage more items, though some damage was unavoidable.
On Saturday, the couple joined fellow business owners in Ba Town to clean their shops, all of whom were also affected by the flooding. The streets and businesses were left muddy, and many owners worked diligently to restore their establishments.
Ms. Preety noted that this was their first encounter with flooding since launching their business, making it a challenging beginning. However, they remain hopeful and determined to rebuild, looking forward to continuing their repair services.
This resilience in the face of adversity highlights the strong spirit of the local community, showcasing their willingness to support each other during tough times. Together, they aim to restore Ba Town to its vibrant state, demonstrating the unyielding determination that characterizes local businesses.
