In response to ongoing adverse weather conditions, 160 police officers are on standby in the Western Division. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Livai Driu, has issued a warning for residents to brace for potential flooding, as reports of rising water levels continue to emerge.

Due to the flooding, traffic has been prohibited in Ba and Rakiraki Towns, with law enforcement actively monitoring the area’s access points. ACP Driu has emphasized the importance of safety, advising motorists to refrain from entering these flooded regions.

Authorities, including police and government officials, are continuously observing the situation and have committed to providing timely updates as circumstances evolve.
