In response to increasing flooding concerns, 160 police officers are positioned on standby in the Western Division. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Livai Driu, is urging the public to prepare for the possibility of severe weather conditions as flooding reports persist.
Currently, Ba and Rakiraki Towns are closed to all traffic, with police closely monitoring the situation to manage entry and exit. ACP Driu has advised motorists to refrain from entering these areas due to the dangerous flood levels.
Authorities, including police and government officials, are actively keeping an eye on the developments and will issue additional updates as necessary.

Ensuring that residents are informed and safe is essential, and with the collaborative efforts, the community can better navigate this challenging situation.
