The flood warning for areas near and downstream of the Ba FSC River has been lifted, as reported by the Fiji Meteorological Service. In their update at 10:47, they announced that the heavy rain warning previously applicable to the Northern Division, Lomaiviti, and Lau Group has also been canceled.
The tropical disturbance known as 01F is reported to be weakening and is moving east over the northern Lau Group, exiting the country. However, the associated clouds and rain are still impacting the eastern regions of Fiji. Additionally, the flash flood warning for low-lying areas, particularly in Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki, has now been rescinded.
This cancellation of warnings indicates a positive turn in weather conditions for the affected regions, allowing communities to return to normalcy. It highlights the resilience of Fiji in dealing with such weather disturbances, fostering hope for a swift recovery and improved conditions ahead.
