A flash flood warning is currently in effect for low-lying regions and small streams across Vanua Levu as well as the Central and Eastern divisions of Fiji. According to the Nadi weather office, the water level at Sawani Bridge was recorded at 4.8 meters above the alert level earlier today, although it is now on a downward trend.
The country is experiencing significant weather due to a slow-moving trough of low pressure that is bringing clouds, rain, and showers to the area. However, there is good news on the horizon: conditions are expected to improve gradually from the west today and are anticipated to clear by late Friday.
This situation encourages residents in affected areas to remain vigilant while also looking forward to clearer weather in the coming days. Authorities will continue to monitor the situation closely, ensuring the safety of all residents in the flood-prone areas.
