A flood alert has been issued for areas in Ba, Nasivi (Tavua), and Nakauvadra (Rakiraki) due to an expected high tide at 1:30 PM today. As of 12:30 PM, the water level at the Ba Fiji Sugar Corporation station was recorded at 3.69 meters, surpassing the warning threshold and continuing to rise. Similarly, the Nakauvadra town center station reported a water level of 2.59 meters, also above the warning level and increasing. The Nadi weather office has indicated that the country is currently experiencing conditions associated with an active trough of low pressure, which brings clouds and rainfall.
