A suspect has been formally charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault in connection with an incident involving a Virgin Australia flight crew. Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew confirmed that while the investigation into alleged theft is ongoing, the probe into the sexual assault and rape allegations has been completed. The suspect is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday at the Nadi Magistrate’s Court.
The affected crew members have since returned to their home following the distressing incident.
