Five teams from Vanualevu have successfully advanced to the quarter-finals of the Under-21 division at the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s, showcasing their skills in the final round of pool matches held yesterday. The teams that have secured their spots in the knockout stage are Fiji Seasalt Taveuni, St Teresa Nukubalavu, Aloha Taveuni, Devo Babas, and Loloma Heights, with each finishing strong in their respective pools.
Today’s quarter-final line-up features exciting matches, with Fiji Seasalt Taveuni set to clash with St Teresa Nukubalavu. Meanwhile, Aloha Taveuni will take on Devo Babas, Cagivou will play against RKSOB, and Kasabias Village Boys will face Loloma Heights.
Loloma Heights team official, Semi Voladamu Bose, emphasized the significance of his team’s participation, noting that they represent the Wailevu cluster in Savusavu. The team was established with the aim of gathering the top players from the area. Bose expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming match, highlighting the team’s mission of empowering youth through rugby and pride in their progress thus far.
