FIVE captivating title fights are set to excite boxing fans on November 1, as ZEG Kings Boxing Promotions presents an action-packed event at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. Following a triumphant promotion in July, Naroon Buksh, the promoter, is enthusiastic about making this second event an even grander spectacle.
The lineup includes both local and international fighters, showcasing talent from Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and India. With 13 fights scheduled, including five title bouts, spectators can anticipate a thrilling night of professional boxing that promises to highlight competitive matchups.
Buksh expressed his excitement for this event, emphasizing the opportunity it presents for Fijian boxers to challenge themselves against tough international opponents. “The exciting promotion is back, and it will be bigger and better for all our boxing fans in Fiji,” he stated, encouraging fans to witness professional fighters compete at a high level.
Among the noteworthy bouts, Binnu Singh will contend for a title against Thailand’s Apichart Klintai, while Jese Ravudi is set to face Sunny Morini for the New Zealand Professional Boxing Commission (NZPBC) title. Ravudi is eager to build on his previous victory and showcase his skills in the ring. Buksh pointed out that these matchups provide a significant chance for local boxers like Binnu and Jese to go head-to-head for esteemed titles.
Adding to the excitement, Runqi Zhou is slated to face an opponent from Thailand for the WBA Oceania title. Buksh is inviting boxing enthusiasts in Fiji to show their support for local talent as they aim for glory against formidable contenders from abroad.
The title defenses scheduled for the night include Binnu Singh versus Apichart Klintai for the WBA Oceania Interim title and Runqi Zhou taking on Suriya Kaeokhao for the WBA Oceania title. Additionally, there will be matches featuring Ra man Mikaele Ravalaca against Francis Chua from Australia for the WBA Oceania title, and Isikeli Senidoko facing Junior Abhay Chand for the Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) title.
The upcoming event not only highlights local fighters but also reinforces the potential for boxing to flourish in Fiji, echoing the sentiments from past promotions aimed at elevating the sport’s presence in the region. As excitement peaks among fans, this occasion represents a hopeful and promising future for boxing in Fiji, inspiring young talents and cultivating a vibrant boxing community.
