The Bluewater Boxing promotion is set to take place in February next year, featuring an exciting main event where veteran boxer Joseph Kwadjo will face Robin Hazel-man. This news was confirmed by promoter Samir Khan, who mentioned that the event will be held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva and will kick off with a launch event at 1 PM on Friday at the Holiday Inn.
Khan outlined that a total of four boxing programs will be organized throughout the year. Alongside Kwadjo and Hazel-man, the event will showcase other talented fighters, including Alifereti Kauyaca, Paulo Ratumaikoro, Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana, Mohammed Ali, and Jese Ravudi.
In his comments, Khan emphasized the promotion’s commitment to adhering to the rules and regulations that have been in place for their previous three boxing events this year. He noted there were no issues regarding essential provisions such as ambulances, medical personnel, or drug testing.
It was also highlighted that boxers competing in these matches are not insured, a fact that Khan addressed by stressing the importance of monitoring the athletes’ health and requiring medical certificates for participation.
To ensure a safe and regulated event, Khan emphasized that trainers and coaches associated with the boxers must be properly registered. By requiring certificates from boxing clubs, the promotion aims to eliminate any unverified claims regarding management and coaching roles within the sport.
This boxing event not only promises to deliver thrilling matches but also serves as a valuable opportunity for registered boxers to showcase their skills on an esteemed platform. The inclusion of health monitoring and compliance with regulations reflects a dedication to the welfare of the athletes and the integrity of the sport.
By fostering a secure and competitive environment, Bluewater Boxing Promotion is poised to enhance the local boxing community while providing fans with high-quality entertainment.
