A rapid response from the National Fire Authority prevented significant damage to a row of buildings in the center of the capital after a fire broke out on the second floor of a shop on Raojibhai Patel Street. Witnesses reported seeing the flames at approximately 11:30 this morning. By midday, the NFA had effectively contained the fire, stopping it from spreading further. However, the building’s owners and people at the scene were not available for comment. The police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
