Firefighters responded promptly to a blaze at the Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) office situated in Lautoka. The fire affected the building where the Fiji Times West office is located on the top floor.
As of now, there has been no official information released regarding the cause of the fire, although further updates are anticipated. In the wake of the incident, EFL has announced that its Customer Care Centre in Lautoka City will be temporarily closed.
The fire has also led to service disruptions, affecting EFL Customer Care Centres throughout the Western Division, including areas such as Nadi, Ba, and Rakiraki. EFL has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience and is encouraging customers to seek assistance through alternative channels. Customers can reach EFL by phoning 132333 or 5333 during this time.
While the incident has created challenges for both the company and its customers, EFL’s proactive communication aims to ensure that support remains accessible through other means until regular services can be restored.
