Narseys Plastics Industries Pte Ltd has confirmed that its facility is operating as normal and was not affected by a fire that erupted at a nearby construction site earlier today. Company management reported that upon observing the fire, their staff acted promptly to control the situation using fire extinguishers until the National Fire Authority (NFA) arrived.

The fire was effectively contained by the NFA, and thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Ajit Narsey, the director of Narseys Plastics, reassured all stakeholders that the incident did not disrupt production or services, emphasizing the company’s commitment to safety and operational continuity.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety and preparedness, especially in light of recent fire incidents across Fiji. Previous fires have highlighted the risks associated with both commercial and residential premises, prompting calls for increased awareness and proactive measures to prevent such occurrences.

The swift and effective response from emergency services in this case illustrates the strength of community cooperation in crisis situations. It is a hopeful sign that vigilance and preparedness can successfully mitigate potential disaster risks.
