Fire Incident Contained at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort: Safety First!

A fire occurred at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, specifically in the storeroom located at the back of the house. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident.

Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, reported that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, with no injuries noted. She confirmed, “No guest rooms were affected.”

As a precautionary measure, a small number of guests were safely evacuated from adjacent rooms. Osborne emphasized the resort’s commitment to upholding stringent safety and security practices to ensure the wellbeing of guests and team members is prioritized.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa, also stated that there were no reported casualties and that they are awaiting the results of the investigation.
