A fire occurred on Saturday at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa in the storeroom area, prompting an investigation by the National Fire Authority. Carey Osborne, the resort’s cluster general manager, reported that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, with no injuries recorded.

Osborne stated that no guest rooms were harmed during the incident, although a small number of nearby guests were evacuated as a precautionary measure. She emphasized the resort’s dedication to upholding stringent safety and security regulations to ensure the well-being of both guests and team members.

Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander West, confirmed that there were no casualties and stated that they are awaiting the results of the investigation.
