A fire occurred at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday in the storeroom located behind the main building, prompting an investigation by the National Fire Authority. Carey Osborne, the resort cluster general manager, confirmed that the fire was contained and extinguished rapidly, with no injuries reported.

Osborne stated that no guest rooms were impacted by the fire, and as a precautionary measure, a small number of guests were evacuated from nearby rooms. She emphasized the resort’s commitment to upholding stringent safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of both guests and staff.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, also confirmed that there were no reports of casualties and noted that the investigation is ongoing.
