The National Fire Authority swiftly acted to protect a row of buildings in the center of the capital after a fire broke out on the second floor of a shop on Raojibhai Patel Street. Witnesses reported seeing the flames at around 11:30 this morning. By midday, the NFA had successfully controlled the fire and mitigated further damage. The property owners and others present at the scene were not available for comment. Meanwhile, police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
