Fire Erupts at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort: All Guests Safe

A fire broke out at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, specifically in the storeroom at the back of the facility. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident.

Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, confirmed that the fire was quickly controlled and extinguished, with no injuries reported. She stated, “No guest rooms were affected,” adding that a small number of guests were safely evacuated from nearby areas as a precaution.

Osborne emphasized the resort’s commitment to upholding strict safety and security standards, prioritizing the wellbeing of both guests and staff.

Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander for the West, also reported that there were no casualties and that they are awaiting the results of the investigation.
