A retired couple from Nadera, Nasinu, has faced a devastating tragedy as a fire completely destroyed their home and possessions worth over $250,000 on Saturday night. Arti and Vineshwar, who had stepped out to visit a relative, returned to find their house engulfed in flames.

“We were out all night, and during that time, the power went off for our house and the neighbors as well,” Vineshwar recounted. Their neighbors reported seeing a few individuals near the property during the night, and Vineshwar expressed his suspicion that the fire may be linked to those individuals.

Having recently refurbished the electrical wiring in their home, Vineshwar doubted that an electrical fault caused the fire, stating, “I doubt it was an electrical fault.” The couple has lost everything: clothes, furniture, and tools that Vineshwar used for small jobs in their retirement.

Currently, the couple is at a loss regarding their future and is uncertain about where they will live next. “We don’t know what to do next,” they said, reaching out to the community for help in their time of need.

For those interested in assisting Arti and Vineshwar, they can be contacted at 9919227 or through their daughter Vinita at 8645679. Investigations into the cause of the fire continue as the community rallies around them in support during this challenging time.

This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of community support during times of crisis. There may be opportunities for local organizations and individuals to come together to aid those affected by such tragedies, fostering hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
