A fire occurred at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, specifically in the storeroom located at the back of the house. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident. Carey Osborne, the resort’s cluster general manager, indicated that the fire was promptly contained and extinguished without any injuries reported.

Osborne noted that no guest rooms were impacted by the fire, although a small number of guests were evacuated from adjacent rooms as a precaution. She emphasized that the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa is dedicated to upholding strict safety and security protocols to ensure the health and safety of both guests and staff remains a top priority.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, confirmed that there were no reports of casualties and stated that they are awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
