Fire Breaks Out at Hilton Fiji Resort: Guests Safe, Investigation Underway

A fire broke out at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, specifically in the storeroom located at the back of the house. The National Fire Authority is currently looking into the incident. Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, stated that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, with no injuries reported.

Osborne noted that there was no impact on guest rooms, though a small number of guests were evacuated from nearby areas as a precaution. She emphasized that Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa is dedicated to upholding stringent safety and security regulations, prioritizing the wellbeing of both guests and team members.

Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander for the West, reported no casualties and is awaiting the findings from the investigation.
