Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School is set to clash with Ratu Kadavulevu School in the final of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Vodafone Super Deans under-14 competition. RKS secured their place in the final by defeating the reigning champions, Marist Brothers High School, with a score of 13-0. Meanwhile, MGM reached the final after a commanding performance in the second semi-final, overpowering Lelean Memorial School with a score of 31-10.
This final marks a significant milestone for MGM, as team manager Miriama Lutubulo noted that they are the only team from their school remaining in the competition. She mentioned that the U18 team’s loss has spurred the U14 players to push further in the tournament, with hopes of claiming the title.
