Members of the Fiji National Youth Band are donning black today to express their support for the elimination of violence against women and children in Fiji while showing solidarity with the Black Thursday campaign organized in partnership with the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection – Fiji.

Using their platform, the band aims to raise awareness about the urgent need to address violence within communities.

Mr. Saula Radrodro, the team leader and sound engineer for the band, emphasized, “We believe that everyone has the right to live free from fear and violence, and we are proud to align ourselves with the Black Thursday movement, advocating for an end to violence against women and children in Fiji.”

The band members are encouraging the public to wear black on Thursdays to show their support for this important cause and stand in unity with victims of abuse.
