Fiji’s Young Kulas Set to Make Waves at FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup

The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are heading to Colombia for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after a week spent training and playing friendly matches in Costa Rica. The final squad of 21 players for the global tournament has been announced.

Among the team, there are three players based overseas: Preeya Singh, Aliana Vakaloloma, and Talei Moodie. Fiji is set to compete against Brazil on Sunday at 11 am, followed by a match against Canada on Wednesday, September 4, at 1 pm, and concluding their group stage with a match against France on September 7 at 1 pm.

The 21-member squad includes: Meresaini Waqali, Ema Mereaia, Adi Bakaniceva, Seruwaia Laulaba, Caroline Qalivere, Talei Moodie, Kasanita Tabua, Preeya Singh, Narieta Leba, Elesi Tabunase, Sereana Naweni, Pijila Kilawaca, Sonia Alfred, Adi Naiveli, Asela Cokanasiga, Evivi Buka, Asenaca Naio, Katarina Nailele, Angeline Rekha, Aliana Vakaloloma, and Emily Esposito.
