The Young Kulas are set to make their inaugural appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, scheduled from August 31 to September 22, 2024. The reigning champions are Spain. Alongside Morocco, Fiji, sponsored by Digicel, will also be competing for the first time in this tournament.
Following two friendly matches against Morocco and Costa Rica, the team is now concentrating on the upcoming major tournament where they will be up against some of the world’s top teams. Coach Angeline Chua emphasized the importance of a strong defense, particularly in light of the challenging opponents they will face.
Fiji is placed in Group B, competing against Brazil, France, and Canada. Their first match is set against Brazil on September 1.
